Timeline

2024-Present

At the beginning of 2024, I decided to go on a 'indefinite hiatus' due to burnout. I still managed to pre-schedule two videos a few months into the year, one of them being a personal favorite where I made every home I lived in on Roblox (and it took 5 years to finish!)

So far, I'm still releasing 1-2 videos and a song each year, and I'm open to doing more when/if the time is right.

2022-2023

Here's where the wheels slowed down considerably. Despite this, I still made reviews, gameplays, and released new music — even some scrapped projects in its unfinished state.

April 2022

I finally reached 10,000 subscribers! Never would I have thought to conjure this many humans (assuming they are humans, it's hard to tell especially nowadays lol.) But thank you.

Totally real bronze btw :3

2021

More of the same as last year. More music, gameplays, reviews, and everything in between. I upgraded my PC, which meant more ambitious projects were possible. My music was finally on streaming services. I also worked with another artist for the first time to make a Phantom Forces rap.

2020

Although I didn't make much videos as the previous years, I still had a relatively set schedule for one or two each month. I released my last standalone Roblox animation, tested my music on other mediums, and continued with a successful series of playing Roblox with an unintended controller.

2019

This was more of the same as last year; consistent release schedule of videos and music. There wasn't much big videos in terms of views compared to previous years, except for a three second animation test, and maybe the one where I played Roblox with a Wii remote. Oh but of course, I can't forget about the Robot 64 Rap! (no seriously how did i almost forget?)

Then in October, I performed the internet's favorite trend: a logo rebrand! Minus the backlash.

2018

I was still swinging for the fences, making multiple videos each month. I had gotten a new computer, so I was able to do more things like gameplays, music, livestreams, and more impressive editing. Although, that same computer had its hard drive corrupted after a few months, and I lost a handful of projects I was working on. Nevertheless, I fixed it and continued my stride.

As for music, I took the community by storm this year with my Murder Mystery 2 Rap, which had gotten half of a million views by 2022. Unfortunately, the music video was falsly taken down, but the song is still up on services.

March 2017

By this month, my channel reached 1,000 subscribers! Looking back, I'm surprised to realize how short of a timeframe my channel grew to that point.

And yes, this is a totally real 1,000 subscribers wooden play button...maple grown.

2017

This year was when the commitment started to show. I was uploading 1-3 videos per month, whether it was commentary on Roblox rumors, stop-motion animations, skits, etc. It was also when I made my first public song, which was a parody of a diss track (those were really popular on YouTube back in the day.)

Overall, I was experimenting with a handful of concepts and figuring out what my shtick could be. I did manage to pull another breakthrough, as some of the videos received over 10k views & one being my most popular video currently.

November 2016

On the eighth of November, I reached 100 subscribers! It was by this point that I considered the potential of making videos as a part-time hobby (even though it kinda was a part-time hobby before, but the difference was that I didn't take it seriously till then).

And yes, this is a totally real 100 subscribers plastic play button I received from YouTube.

2016

Within this year, I uploaded a trilogy of videos that was favored by YouTube's algorithm at the time, especially the third one — which has since garnered over 100k views.

Retrospectively, it's a bit funny and dumb that my first big moments for the channel ended up being some cheesy clickbait videos lol. Granted, that was the intended effect but I obviously didn't imagine the virality it would receive (to the point that the game I featured in the third video got deleted from Roblox, due to hackers exploiting it whenever there were players.)

2015

In September, I uploaded my first public video onto my channel, which was just 3 minutes of showcasing a hacked Roblox server I joined.

2014

The name EpicDiamondX was born on June 14, 2014 — the day I created my Roblox account. It was derived from my previous (unofficial) name I made up, which was just DiamondX.

Two months later and three days before my 12th birthday, I created a YouTube channel under the same name.
