2026
6 years after becoming its own project, my channel/persona collaborates with the other to produce an anime inspired rap.
2024
after 7 months of absence, i returned with a tribute video to the nintendo 3ds (the same day as its release in north america), along with a lofi remix dedicated to it.
throughout the year, i ambitiously made new music nearly each month, such as a tribute to my cat, a compilation album of my nintendo lo-fi tracks, and more!
april 2023
however, this month, i finally decided upon my name:
REMiNiX
it's derived from the word i dreamt about, but most of all, it's something that resonates with me as a person. and so, i distributed my music to streaming services, along with a remastered version of ʀᴇᴍɪɴɪsᴄᴇ, under my new artist name. i'd say that's a dream come true!
2023
surprisingly, not a lot from this year. i made an eshop tribute video, a 'behind the scenes' of my first track, and a wii u mii maker remix.
october 2022
i released my first original lofi track, which is called ʀᴇᴍɪɴɪsᴄᴇ.
wait, you're saying i made a song called ʀᴇᴍɪɴɪsᴄᴇ before i came up with my name? well, yes! what i hadn't mentioned before was that around the time i had my dream, i also came up with the melody that's used in this beat. i didn't get around to making it a full-fledged track until then.
2022
i continued making lofi remixes, such as my 3ds camera lofi (which had gotten around 2k views in the first 24h!) and more pov videos.
however, one video stood out from the rest — a tribute to nintendo 3ds homebrew. i made it because of a meme that was going around at the time, which is in the title. needless to say, it's my most popular video with over 100k views.
late 2021
speaking of, this may sound hard to believe, but my name was revealed to me in a dream! so i had a dream that i distributed my music to spotify, and my artist name was..."reminisce".
i almost considered it to be my name, but i also wanted a name that sounded unique...and also because there's already an artist with that name lol. i still kept it in the back of my mind though...as it connected with me somehow.
2021
on ᴀpril 22, i released my first lo-fi beat — a remix of the nintendo 3ds internet settings. it quickly spread across the algorithm and received positive reception. later in the year, i released my second lofi remix. along with other videos like my nostalgic povs, i believe i also hit 100 subscribers this year too.
i would consider this to be when ʀᴇᴍɪɴɪx was truly born, though the name hadn't yet been conceived.
pre-2021
i feel i should include this because the ʀᴇᴍɪɴɪx channel has existed long before the name itself. originally, it served as a second channel to ᴇᴅx, where i mostly posted gaming edits and vlogs/skits with friends or cousins.
by 2020, the channel slowly branched off into its own thing — disconnected from its counterpart. if you look around, you may be able to find some videos during this time.
